Featured Pound Puppy

Koloa is a sweet cattle dog mix, about 50 lbs. and 2 years old. She was a great momma to the 4 healthy pups in our Hawaii Litter and is now ready to find her forever home. She is a real love and very gentle. She loves to hug and cuddle and lounge in the sun, but soccer is her big talent!

For more info about Koloa, please email us or visit the Pound Puppy Rescue website.

There's Always Room For More
Submitted by Indrani, Pound Puppy Rescue Volunteer

Indrani, a self-described dog person and PPR volunteer, explains how heartbreak following the death of her beloved dog, Cleo, transformed into a passion for helping puppies find their forever homes.

Cali, an Adoption Story
Submitted by Patrice, Pound Puppy Rescue Adopting Family

Timing is everything. As Patrice explains, her search for a puppy was put on hold after she read the book "Before and After Getting Your Puppy" and decided she just wasn't quite ready for all the responsibilities a puppy brings. With some time and fate, PPR matched up Patrice with the perfect dog for her.

How Sake and PPR Found Me
Submitted by Cynthia, Pound Puppy Rescue Volunteer and Board Member
After the "honeymoon stage" of adopting a puppy is over, the real work begins. PPR volunteer and board member Cynthia describes the challenges of managing the bad behaviors of a dog who was not properly trained as a puppy, and explains why she would not trade her experience for all the money in the world.
